Sorry to chime in so late. I have been lurking here for a while and decided to join in just recently.
I have both TM803 and TM8003. While TM803 has LG screen, TM8003's is definitely IDTech Chi Mei N150P2. What's even more important is that the latter is "normally white" and cannot be swapped with TM803 - color gamut appears reversed. Maybe there is a way to turn off signal invertors somewhere but I have not found it.
Anyone with a knowledge here regarding advantages/disadvantages of "normally white" LCDs? What I know is that it means that pixels are transparent (white) when no voltage is applied. Perhaps that gives these LCDs "washed out" look. Would love to learn more.
