What do you think? Any idea if storing my laptop computer (and using the microwave) would be damaging in some way. I'm talking about stray mic radiation - not any radiant heat. Your advice is appreciated.

LMAO! putting a comp on top of a microwave? why dont you just burn your $2500? seriously, dumb idea IMO because of the radiation like everyone said. i heard something about someone sticking their LCD monitor in the microwave because the manufacturer's policy was only 8+ dead pixels and he had like 3, so tried putting it in the microwave to get more... but then it wouldnt turn on, so he RMAed it as DOA.

More Neat Microwave Oven Tricks.....
A co-worker of mine recently bought two bags of "COMBOS" cheese filled snacks and decided to heat them up in the microwave oven. upon hitting "START", the fireworks inside the microwave looked just like the 4th. of July! (i saw it with my own eyes). When he took the bags out of the oven, the bags were Transparent!!. The shiny Electrically Conductive Aluminum coating inside the bags had dissapeared, and all the white paint had fallen inside the bags, rendering the snacks un-eatable...Another friend of mine put an Ink-Jet pen in a microwave oven (just for 15 seconds) because the ink had dried up after a month of non-use. After he retreived the pen from the oven, the pen no longer worked. he was smart enough to notice that ALL of the thin copper traces between the Electrical Contacts and the Printhead Chip HAD DISSAPEARED!!!, Leaving just the Clear Yellow Kapton Tape...

O.K., My BEST Microwave Oven Trick:
My old house in Puerto Rico has been Broken-Into several times in the past by Drug Addicts and other Low-Lifes. I came up with a really Scary-errr Neat solution to protect my property.I bought a brand new 1,000 watt microwave oven and took it completely apart (!). I fabricated an 8" X 12" Rectangular Conical Horn Antenna out of sheet metal, which i installed to the Output Flange of the Magnetron Tube. (which produces the microwave radiation). The Magnetron is powered by the Oven's 2,500 Volt High Voltage/Filament Transformer, Plus the Rectifier Diode and Capacitor that forms the Voltage Doubler that supplies the Magnetron with -5,000 Volts DC. The 120 Volts AC. is supplied through a Relay, whose Coil is powered by a Passive Infrared Body Heat/Motion Sensor.
The whole thing is mounted on a wooden pallet inside a room, which is surrounded and hidden by a large thin cotton bed sheet. (which is transparent to microvave radiation). The horn antenna, of course, points out the favorite window used by the crooks to enter the house. The IR. Motion Sensor is placed at a strategic location outside the house.
The way the thing works is as follows: The crook stakes out the house, finds the "unprotected" window, Stares in the window, looks at a Boombox and an old VCR. placed as bait. The IR. Sensor picks up his Body Heat, Firing up the Magnetron and aiming 1,000 Watts at 2.45 Ghz. Directly to his face. Withing 15 Seconds, the Corneas of Both his Eyes WILL TURN WHITE, (LIKE EGG WHITES) PERMANENTLY!!!. Poor guy wont have a clue as to why he lost his Eyesight. The ONLY way to recover his eyesight is to have BOTH CORNEAS REPLACED WITH NEW ONES, (Transplanted), at a high cost to him.
Let's see someone else Gross me out on this one!!!.....

I knew someone would like it.....
I no longer live in Puerto Rico and i sold the contraption to a "trusted friend" for $600.00. If i ever pay him a visit, i'll take some pictures of it, so more people like you can "bug-out" on it!.Did you know that the R.F. Power Output of a cell phone maxes out at 560mW.?. (you dont want too much power coming out of that thing so close to your ear)!!!.
The R.F. Power Output of the antennas on top of your average cell phone Tower is between 5 and 10 Watts. Enough to cause Measurable Bodily Harm to anyone on top of the tower for more than 4 to 5 hours...
