typing on the m35-s320

i have a question about the typing on the m35-s320. sometimes when i'm typing, the letters get backed up and the letters freeze for a moment, and then the letters catch up once i stop typing. if i continue to type, then the laptop beeps, and then the letters catch up. is there anything that i can do to make this go smoother. i purchased this notebook a couple of weeks ago and i dont know if this is a common problem. can someone help me w/ my problem?

What program are you typing in? If bloatware like Word, does it also happen in Notepad? Do you have any programs running in the background like virus scanning, media programs, etc.?

no.no other programs are running...its when im typing in anything like word, or this message, or aol instant messenger
