if that's true, that's a pretty crappy way of dealing with the situation and especially their customers

LOL, I meant to add "Perhaps.." I am in no way claiming that my theory is true.

hahahahaha understood, but i do find the "timing" of their maintenance or system "problems" or whatever is the cause quite interesting

Maybe what all of the AW owners should do, is e-mail the head of AW and let him know of the situation, I'm sure owners of mulitiple AW systems like HelliBoy could draw some attention to that by saying they are not going to buy from AW if as BrainGoo said one of those three things are not met, it is obviously not fair to all AW customers to not have those options, and I'm sure if there were enough complaints and threats of finding another company AW would buckup and meet our needs

Don't forget, on Tom's hardware - Nvidia is coming out with a mobile 6800 and intend to keep supporting AGP throughout the year so let's take a chill pill and see what happens.

considering the enormous power requirements of the desktop 6800 compared to the x800, it should be interesting to see how "dressed" down a mobile version will be

Looking at that mobo revision chart,, its intresting to see that the 4004 and the 40A6 boards have the addition of 2 capacitors that the other boards dont have,,, now i find it strange that the mobo maker would have just left off the 2 capacitors when they went from the 4004 board and then went thru 4 more board revisions and then put them back in place on the 40A6,, (the last mobo we know of right now) highly suspicoiusoius

but since i believe from my basic electronic theory,, is not a capaitor just a place to hold electricity,?? or to hold a higher charge of electricity in a storage place,, to be distributed ???

anyway,, if the only 2 boards that AW says can take the 9700 upgrade right now from the 9600 has to have the mobo boards with the capaitors on it,, then it would mean that ATI is needing higher power, which we know this to operate properly ???? which of course makes me wonder why nVirdia does not have problems going from their 5600 to 5700 with no problems..
now i know i may be way off on this, but assuming ATI power problems with their vid cards,,i wonder how they could get around this??? without a mobo replacement ??? but then again how is nVirdia doing it ???
just thoughts i was thinking,,,

...yeah and it is time to bombard them...

Jose Laraque @ ALIENWAREsaid: "Well currently there has not been a release date announced however there should be word soon."
Jose Laraque is f%^&ing idiot that I spoke with who doesn't know his head from his a$$.

I just posted an angry long message and now I am getting server errors on the community forums...hmm AW...I am beginning to feel that might have been intentional...anyway I copied and saved what I wrote and here it is...it is a reply to some idiot on the boards defending AW's official response...

You my friend have no idea what you are talking about and appear to defend AW like a fanboy...the situation is B$ and AW has partner that manufactures their mobile GPU's. Go see the mobo revision chart and you will see that they knew certain mobo would not work and they still fed all of us "we are working on it". As for the 9800 Dell has a 30 day exclusivity and after that voodoo, sager, etc will be rolling out. How many XPS's do you think are out there and going to be sold? Definately not enough for ATI to only make a card for dell...David's comments were lies and when people open their eyes then we can do something about it. ATI did not just secretly make a 9800 AGP card nor did NVIDIA a 6800go (which is soon going to be released). If you're intelligent and can read between the lines from David's comments then it translates to this...yeah there are some probs with the 9700 upgrade so we will see and don't expect any more upgrades because if we can't get the 9700 to work forget the 9800 which by the way you can order right now at dell.com. So let's remove the upgradeable ads and not tout it as a feature and just screw all those people who bought under the impression it would be an upgradeable notebook...oh but wait I can go from my 9600 nonpro to a 5700...wow my only $hitty upgrade....
