That's one test for one type of compiling and some people don't care about battery life Sharakkhal, let's be fair.
look, I realize that AMD doesn't offer a huge performance boost, but there is a difference. For the same price (athlon 3400+ and P4 3.4 Ghz) AMD gives you better gaming and 3d cinematography, 64-bit, ~50% better battery life, less heat, and better OC'ing. With Intel, you get better encoding and hyperthreading. It is clear to me that AMD has the upper hand in the DTR market, you Intel fans just won't admit it.
I'll concede that Intel has the best mobile chips for battery life right now, but AMD is busy developing chips for that market sector too.
Right now it's a close race, but for gamers it's AMD all the way. I have a hunch AMD will really pound Intel and take a huge chunk of their market in the years to come. Soon the struggle won't be monopoly vs. underdog, it will be more like ATI vs. Nvidia, two titans locked in epic battle for eternity hehe.
The poll speaks for itself, AMD has the support of the forum.
