256MB DDR ATI's MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9800 AGP 8X Graphics
ATI256 - [ 320-4017 ]

It may take a couple of weeks before it is available from DSP.

AFAIK, DSP only recognizes 5 digit part numbers. In the past, people haven't had much luck using the 7 digit new order configuration numbers with Dell Spare Parts.

I was able to order the quicksnap covers through DSP with 311-3451 for the graphite swirl pattern. Maybe the 320-4017 number will work soon...

Question: will the mr9800 fit an i9100 with a miss9700?

This might be a retarded question, but I can find NO specs on chipset types concerning replacements...

Also, just for the fun of it, I called Dell in Sweden and I asked about it, he didn´t even know what the hell I was talking about. He told me to call back in a few days to give him time to check it out...

Toms hardware mentions that ati promises a theoretical 75% fps increase in playing halo, this is not backed up in their benches no matter what they claim (the difference between their test machines are too great). However, I would like your comments on this... You "people" probably know more than Dell in Europe alltogheter right now... =)

La Belle Stockholmia. The jewel of the north. The frontier to the twilight. The city on islands. The capital of the scum socialist country.

I just ordered the new 9800 card from Dell on Thursday for $303.00 plus shipping and tax. I got a email to confirm the card would ship on or around August 3rd. I have the part number for the card in my email but that laptop is at the office.

I was told I could save myself the $399.00 install charge if I put the card in myself. So from what I understand Dell wants $399.00 for a tech to come to your house then $303.00 for the card. That is $702.00 for the 9800 card that is crazy!!

I will post the part number from my confirm email when I get into the office Monday.

Will installing the card be easy?

Yeah, just unscrew a few things, plug in the monitor cable, and you're golden. very easy.
