What harddisk?

80gb 5400 rpm or 60gb 7200 rpm.

I don't care anything about capacity. I only care about performance, and the 80gb is $5 cheaper (it's nothing, so i need to decide). Obviously, if the difference is nothing (or almost that), I'll stick with the 80gb.

Is true that talk about the density of the 80gb drive compensates the velocity of a 60gb 7200rpm? Does anyone know how much faster the 60 (or the 80) gb disk is?

Thanks.

i am pretty sure the 60gb 7200 rpm will beat out the slower 80gb with higher density. couldn't tell you by how much though.

The 7200 will have signifigantly faster (up to 20%) boot times. And since you don't care about capacity, go with the 7200! For $5 it's great!

So, it's decided.
