I installed the 3.2GHz P4C with 2 x 256mb of PC3200 in DUAL channel. I will be upgrading soon to 2 x 512mb Corsair PC3200. I also installed the Samsung 40gig 5400 rpm 8mb drive. No RAID, the battery is already to short. I opted for the 8 cell and sub but will be getting the spare 12 cell next week.I didn't get the new LCD, I don't think I will be gaming with it at such res. I like my eye candy too much to lower it for 1600 res. I also installed the Intel 2200 wireless B/G adapter. The last option I went for was the 3 year warranty. I got all this for $2063. 
I think I got a good deal. I have read alot of reviews of the varying models that are based on the Clevo D870P. I am about to find out if the heat is too bad or not. So far (during the OS install) it's been real quit and fairly cool.
