I do what works for me and so far I havent done badly. Its weird because I got my first PC 3 years back and now I have this laptop - i've actually learnt a lot after joining the forums...not forgotten

I dont think the RADEON 9000 series is DX9.0 compliant because these cards were released before DX9.0 was released my MS. I find it quite odd that ATI doesnt have a 128MB Radeon 9000 listed on their website...

I am fairly sure it is a problem only with the 128MB M9 equipped systems. I dont have such a system with me to play with and thats what I meant when I said "Those with the 8887 or 5670 please help test these drivers for functionality"
I hope someone comes to your rescue...this shouldnt be such a big problem really...I wonder what they changed in these drivers that causes so much trouble...the 3.2's never had such issues...
