Assessing WXGA/WXGA+/WUXGA screens via printing - Page 2

My parents have just made sure than I have enough money to buy my new laptops, and don't really mind what I buy, as long as I can afford it. Best way to be. On my 5th laptop, and still going strong! Love my new 8600!

and of course, i'm 13 and you're....older.

It was the same when I was 13 as it is now. Do you want to take your notebook to school? You probably wont want to be carrying the 9100 around very often. You'd need a laptop backpack to carry it a lot I would think.

i wouldnt be taking it to school...duh. in my middle school, you either dont bring valuables to school or you bring them to school but dont leave with them.

I bring my laptop to school almost every day. Never had a problem. I took mine in Yr7, Yr9 and Yr10 (skipped Yr8). I even took it in Yr6 sometimes.

im confused, how does that translate to US schools? im just wondering because a friend of mine is from australia (no, not stu...according to some he seems to be more like my uncle ) and he always talks about this year7/8/whatever stuff and i have no clue about it.

I don't know about the US. Yr K-6 is primary, 7-12 is high school here in australia, if that is what you mean. I think we are a bit off topic...

In the US, grades K - 5 are called Elementary School, 6 - 8 are Middle School or Junior High School, and 9 - 12 are High School.

So if you have to repeat a year, say for instance Yr7, do they call it Yr7.0.2?
/bad joke

lol good one Axiom
I have heard though that some places in the US have High school as 9-12 and Middle School as 5-8. I could be wrong though

I could never work out why they go into the 1.x.x version numbers. It is just annoying.

I have been using my WSXGA for the last few weeks and I LOVE IT! It is absolutely fantastic. Great fr viewing these forums too. They support widescreen . I found the performance of this machine to be great. The 1.8-2.0Ghz machines must fly! My dad is abut to get a D800 with the 1.8Ghz, so I will soon see. Maybe I can convince him to swap. His is a work laptop, so it doesn't play the games or do the video editing I do.

BTW, everyone I show my laptop to at school just drools over it. none of them have laptops, and their desktops are not that good either! I feel for them
