Targus wireless optical mouse review

I bought this mouse because I was sick of wires, but after 2 weeks of using it, I'd rather have wires than the problems this mouse causes.

Positive things about it:

-No wires
-Good range!
-Easy to setup
-Ergonomic design

BAD things about it:

-The pointer for some reason moves way too fast. Even after going into mouse properties and setting the pointer motion to the slowest, the thing would fly across the screen. This was EXTREMELY annoying in games. It made things very very innaccurate.
-Loss of signal/chaotic signal. Sometimes the mouse would flip out and not move the way I want it to, it would just go wherever it liked to. Sometimes it happened for 5 minutes straight, imagine how mad I got when it happened during gaming!
-LAG. This was the last straw for me. When I first got this mouse and used it, I noticed there were a slight lag in response. I tried to ignore it the first week but it was starting to frustrate me. Anyone who uses a mouse knows, when you want to pointer to MOVE, you want it to MOVE without delay.

Conclusion: Needless to say, I seriously was disappointed by this P.O.S since it was made by Targus, and I've heard good things about this mouse. I can NOT reccommend this crap to anyone, so don't buy it. I gave this mouse my worse punishment, by giving it free to my girlfriend.

Logitech MX900, m'man.

So how long is your "girlfriend" remain as a "girlfriend?" She's not going to throw the thing at you or anything when it doesn't work right for her, is she?

Remember she is his girlfriend and they love gifts. Its the thought behind it that counts. ROFL

If you do not have bluetooth you might try the Logitech M-raa93. It is a wireless mouse made for notebooks, it is smaller than usual but not so small as to be hard to use. I get great range, no dropouts, high precision, and NO LAG! I can play games with it no problem.

Odd, I haven't had any speed problems, whatsoever. In fact, I think it's far superior to the MS Intellimouse Explorers that I used to use (well, still use one @ work).
