Wifi G MiniPCI at DELL!?!?

Thread Starter
I got a Dell ad in the mail recently, and I looked through it to see what it had (you know, how superior the Sagers are to the Inspirions, and seeing the latest desktop tech), and I happened to notice something shocking--Dell's selling a wireless G MiniPCI!

Look here! You have to scroll down to Wireless Networking, but it's definitely G! Where's Sager's?

Using one as I type. Very good card I have the Dell Truemobile 1400 card in this Latitude D800. 802.11a / b / g.

Perfomance is good across the network using with a Linksys G access point transfer files between machines at around 2,400kb/sec as opposed to the 600kb/sec I used to get with my 802.11b hardware.

I agree, sager is really dropping the ball when it comes to wireless G. I know that many companies are apprehensive about producing 802.11G products since the standard has not been approved yet. Still though, perhaps sager should think about buying miniPCI units off of Dell?

You should be doing better than that with the G. My dlink is 22 rather than 11. And I do 3300 Kbs. The g is supposed to be 54. So Im thinking your limited by your internet connection. What speed do you do comp to comp?
