I orignally order my 9100 with a TruMobile 1300 and later swapped it for a 1350 (from a friend). The 1350 seemed to be better than the 1300, one resaon being I could actually run netstumbler with it.
As I started using wifi on places other than my home I realized it was sort of a pain to switch settings for different networks uning the 1300/1350. After setting up a couple 600M's and an 8600 I found that the Intel Pro Set software was way better than the Broadcom software, namely I can easily make profiles and switch networks with a couple clicks using the Pro Set software.
As for siganl strength, I have to honestly say the 2200 gets better all around signal/stability than the 1300/1350 (the 1350 got way better signal/stability than the 1300).
Both cards are great, but Intel's software is better. The only downfall for the Intel card is that it doesnt work with netstumbler, but the ease of use for the creating and using profiles make it the better setup in my eyes.
My 2 cents...
