about controllers

Thread Starter
I'm planning to buy a notebook to be my audio DAW.
My works is on reason/cubase/wavelab/acid, with the oxygen8 and pehaps, an apogee mini me, or mbox if the money lacks .
My questions are about the controlers: What controllers does the sager s8887 has for its firewire and cardbus ports? TI? I'm asking cos'that's an important factor when choosing a notebook for several usb devices (oxygen, audio card) and one dedicated firewire HD for recording and sample storage.
Can anyone answer me on this?
Anyone working with this configuration?
If possible, i'd like to see comparisons between this machine and a satellite 2455 - less expensive, but wirth dvdr builted in, wich could be a fine way to my backups.

Thanks, and cheers from brasil,
conejo

Can't give you much except for the XP Device Manager info:
1394:
Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller

USB:
Intel(R) 82801CA/CAM USB Universal Host Controller - 2482 (& 2484 & 2487)
VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Companion Controller
(numerous other generics listed).

Good luck.

I can't find the details for a 5670. You'll have to get that from a 5670 user or Adam@PCTorque.com.
