Well I have never had the reaction from then other 3 forums I posted this in. All of the respondents were gracious and intelligent in there responses. I would be surprised if the median age of the forum is 18. If I seem like an outcast because of my genius, it will be the first time for me, but not my intellectual friends. I expected more, but no loss. I am done with this Notebooksforum and it's fanboyism. A few are respectful, and I am not talking to you. It is the others that ruin it for everybody. The jealous 16 year old mentality to be exact. You will no longer have me associated with this forum. I am done. Save the cheers because I will not be in here again....

OCing a notebook is not retarded, in fact its fun. And it IS a decent baseline comparison between models/configs/platforms.

OCing a notebook and thinking it is some sort of "skill" is retarded.

If you can get 14000 in 3dmark01 on a that really pratty damn cool. But thinking its gives you a right to go waiving your e-penix around poping off "leet OCing skillz" because you are the "sisoft master" just makes you sound like a fool.

And your reactions aren't that of a genius, but of a bragging spoilt teenager. Now if you want to chat civilly then I'm all for it, but don't expect everyone to be impressed by your bench marking or your smug superior attitude.

Posting your benchmarks in 3 forums is, in the material world (i.e. the world that matters), the equivalent of calling up three people at random and telling them your SAT scores or what income bracket your new pay raise puts you in.

No one resents that fact that you acheived great scores, they resent the (necessarily insulting) audacity that it takes to think that other people care about it.

anyway back to the original topic, I'd go for the best gpu you can get your hands on because they go out of date so fast. It'd be ashame to buy a cool lappy and then end up not being able to play sweet games in a years time.

From my desktop experience, 64 MB is nothing compared to 256 (ok i know thats a crude comparison)

And while I do hate to see an ordinarily civil and very informative board descend into flaming, I'll be damned if it's not a whole lot of fun to do every once in a while. The occasional surgical strike helps keep everyone on their toes.
