I have a sony vaio I am getting soo... bored with windows I used my friends powerbook g4 and just liked the entire clean atmosphere SOMEBODY please help me is linux the answer I want to know and please help me. I know their are differint types and differint makes and models please help me with the best and post some screenshots thanks guys

Macs use OSX, which is Unix based (which means it's similar to linux, architecture-wise). However, you will not get an exact copy of OSX. But, you can customize KDE or gnome to look very much like OSX, because they are so expandable and customizable.

It's generally not boredom that sends people to linux as an alternative to windows, but it's instability and obsurity (but very cool, though) I run SuSE Linux, but a lot of newcomers to the OS have good luck with Redhat. Lindows is another distro that is specifically geared toward converters. Look around... some distros allow you to test drive the system by booting from a CD, which will allow you to explore without commiting any changes to your drive. This is a good way to initially see if the Linux environment is your cup of tea. There is a ton of info out there on linux to ease your transition. At the same time, its also not for everyone. My best advice is to try it out, and see for yourself.

If all your looking for is just a new look i suggest you try another theme out for windows that will make it look like osx. Another options is to use a program called litestep which changes the windows gui completely. But if your tired of windows crashing and all the viriuses then linux might make a good choice.
