Well, sent back my 5690. City of Industry signed for it Monday. (For those of you that are interested, this should help explain why I RMA'd it.

Now its time to use that credit towards another lappy. Im leaning towards the 8790. Not too long ago I wasn't sure if I was gonna go 4750 or 8790 , but with the heat complaints on the 4750, and the 256 m11, im thinking 8790.
Is it worth it to wait for Sager to release a 9800 (if they do) or PCI-Express? Is there going to be much of a difference (performance wise) between PCI-E and the 256 M11 (other than upgradeability)? I really cant spend more than 2600 shipped, so im on a tight budget. In other words, is 2600 gonna be able to get me a hooked up system with PCI-E, or is it going to be so off the wall the first few months that I wont be able to afford it? I want the 8790 to last
me 3 years, and dont want to regret the purchase (I hate that ).
I can afford to wait the extra 2-3 months, I think ( I might go crazy sharing this computer... ) but if the 8790 will work too fit my gaming need for 3 years, I'd like to buy it now.
Will the 256 9700 ATI do me good for Doom3 / farcry/other RPG games.. Will it be able to hold its own for 3 years without being upgraded (if there even is an upgrade available.) Lend me your opinions please!!. thanks muchly,
For those of you that are reading this thread for the second time, i appolgize. I posted this in notebooks general, and got no responce to it. Since it is about Sager, maybe i should've put it in sager general 1st...
Drink beer, and be merry!
