This laptop is now officially a steal!!!

I just placed the order. I've been vacillating between the 2012 and the W6bne for weeks now and it looks like Newegg made the decision for me. I just couldn't pass up the deal.

I ordered today, and my address is verified and everything. When do you think I'm going to get it?

Well, it depends where you live but with newegg.com I'd say 3 days if you live somewhere near the East coast (they ship from CA).

I live in New York, and they say they're shipping from NJ though.

It'll probably ship monday(no weekend shipping at Newegg) and you'll get it wed. or thursday at the latest.

BTW that's the first time I've ever ordered anything on the internet and had it show up in the email as credit card refused. I haven't used it in almost a year so I thought WTF...0 balance, high limit, what's the problem. I called the CC company. After entering the account #, I was asked to recognize the the Newegg purchase on the automated phone system. Talked to a Rep and was told it was a new policy on high purchase amounts. Purchase went through the second time. Damn identity thieves .
That could get embarrassing if it happenned at a retail store.

If that's the case don't be surprised if you get it on within 2-3 days or so from Monday. Newegg shipping is very expeditious based on my own experiences.

Well, I guess the Acer is in a warehouse in NJ, otherwise newegg is stationed in CA. In this case it may be there even the same day they ship it out (most probably the day after) - I have read people mention this.
Oh, by the way guys, so much for the dropping Acer prices at newegg.com - they just raised the price to $1449 again.
Just don't ask me why.

I just looked and it's still 1289?

Don't quote me on this but newegg has warehouses in NJ and also Tennessee.

What the hell is going on here. Yeah I just looked again and it is 1289. seconds before I posted my previous post I looked at it because I was recommending it to another person and wanted to send him a link but when I opened the site the price was $1445 (and the "weekend special" note above was gone) and so I never gave him that link.
WTF is newegg doing?

That can easily be the case they are growing and growing. I just meant that their center, or if you wanna call original office, is the one in CA. That's why the working hours on their website are in PST timing.

I noticed this too. Right as I was about to place my order it jumped back up to $1445 and I was thinking, NOOOOO!!! But then I just waited two minutes and it was back down. Weird. Anyway, I placed my order and can't wait to get it!

Thank god you also saw it. Now the rest won't think I have lost it completely.

The thing is; it's not just Newegg that has lowered the price. A couple of others including PCConnections also dropped prices.

PCConnections went from $1499 to $1299 too. There's something that triggered a price drop, but I don't know what that could be besides them getting rid of Banias systems to get Dothan updates.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sence. Although some people have reported Dothans already. Maybe newegg just messed up the shipments

What do you mean by that?

Hmmm....If you're talking about the 2012. I've seen nothing but praises for the Screen. If you mean 15.4 , well, to each his own.

As for the GPU; it's a notebook, not a desktop, the whole concept was meant to be portablility, not gaming. If someone is looking for a notebook just to play games, they're wasting their money. Infinitely better portable desktop gaming rigs can be built for half the price of any notebook currently carrying the best available moblie GPU.

I've seen the aspire screen, it's very nice. i'd rate it as one of the best non-xbrite/crystalview/briteview glossy screens.
