I got the Adobe Video Collection 2.5 Professional edition! It comes with Premier Pro, Photoshop CS, After Effects, EncoreDvd, and Audition. I got it for a highly discounted price although it was still really expensive. These programs will be useful though, considering my major. The box they came in was huge! I have never seen such a big software box! The cd's or came in a double sized dvd slip case. There are like 7 books, 5 large books. And a 2 hour dvd explaining how to use the programs I think. I will let you know how the installation goes. I have a feeling its going to take all day. It only took 40 minutes too install all 5 disks! They all work really smoothly, and premier works like a dream! I wish I knew how to do transistions though. I can animate and import footage, but I can't seem to do much else with it yet. I guess I will be reading some of the included literature. I knew it would not be that easy to use. It load in about 20 seconds for each of the programs. Photoshop loads in 5 second! Offtopic but cs source runs really nicely on this laptop as well.

Counterstrike source can run at 1680x1050 at high settings and gets an average fps of 35 fps to 40 fps! Amazing graphics! And the temperature only got up to 60*C after gaming for 10 minutes. Usually it gets up to 63-65 while gaming for 10 minutes so I guess the new bios lower temperatures 3-5*C!

Are you serious??? You can play source at those settings? I've been playing source on my slow desktop with a ATI 9600 se and can't wait to get my AX7 back (should be here in two days ). Does FPS drop below 30 alot on those settings? Any other info would be great . And you are the best poster on these forums MAYA!

nope. Pretty good frame rate. sometimes up to 50. I really suck though. After gaming for awhile temps go up to 63*C. 44*C hd i think. Amazing graphics. If I had a server working I would post screenshots of me dying.

Here's another. No fps on this shot though. They are resized by photobucket though. They are bigger than the 250 kb limit.

Is it justm my settings or somthing. But the only pics I can see are from the last page of this thread, or have the previous pics been deleted.

Photodump. I loved that server. So easy to use and free. But free things don't seem to last long.

http://www.imageshack.us isnt bad. easy to use. just brows to file, and click host it! and youre done. It is a little sluggish when uploading the file, but works fine.

I got photobucket to work though. I am not sure if I will go and edit the pictures or repost them. I'm not quite sure where they were all located.

wait, do the games on the 4750 have to be viewed in widescreen, like the games on the 3790? cause i thought since it was 17" and stuff.....

They don't have to be, but then they are stretched. The screen is a 16:10 aspect ratio.
sorry that I'm so noob, but so, if it isn't widescreen, the games get stretched?

I thought that, for example, since a 3790 is widescreen, the games get stretched on it. And that, since 4750 was 17" screen, the games stayed regular.
and does the 4750 make a lot of sound (like if i'm in a quiet room, would I be able to hear it if I were, say, 5 ft away from it?)

No you probably wouldn't here it, because a quite room isn't generally that quite. Its quiter than a desktop. And 16:10 is the aspect ratio of laptops that are widescreen the 3790 is 16:10 as well. As for games staying regular, there is generally a widescreen setting for games. If not you can add one by tweaking the configuration file. There is a website dedicated to this.
and the widescreen setting for the games would stretch the pictures a little bit, right?

Do any of you know if you can set the ATI drivers (either the catylist or omega) to put black borders so it runs at the correct aspect ratio? I know I can do this with my GeForce 6800GT in the driver properties.
