Besides, until the unit is inspected by a qualified technician nobody can conclusively state that innapropriate environmental factors contributed to the units failure. In fact, had that been the case, perhaps your unit would have failed earlier instead of following a particularly acceptable failure pattern. As G-Omaha implied, ask them to point out the warranty clause that identifies your particular (non-24 hour) environment as a warranty voiding criteria.
I am interested in this because i'm about to hit the first year of my unit and then I may have to deal with these warranty people for my extended warranty support.
I agree with the others. Please don't give up just yet. Please pressure them more and keep us informed of your progress.
