yes and no, it will run fast and preciese opengl, but not faster than 5700 which is for gaming, Quadro's are for digital content creation ie animation prgs, CAD, video editing.

Not to say the can't but they are designed to be more accurate than fast.

No name, The Quadro FX Go1000, based on the Go5700, is for mobile workstations aimed at 3D modeling / rendering and CAD engineers using professional 3D design applications. Certified drivers have optimizations for professional applications which provide the Quadro FX Go1000 with greater speed, accuracy and stability over a regular Go5700.

It delivers the industry's fastest performance on key benchmarks, including industry-standard SPECviewperf 7.1.1 3dsmax-02, ProE-02, and Ugs-03 tests.

I was unable to find information regarding its pixelpipes and clockspeed, which are the most important things for gaming cards. But it seems that for other programs, its the mobile card to get. And also, since it IS based on the go5700 (128bit architecture, AGP 8X), it should have respectable performance in games.

Hopes that helps.

Yes they are selling it, you have to look under the digital creation area and the model name is the MJ-12. I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago with the go1000 Quadro. Just waiting on the video card to come then they are going to start production.

They are currently only selling it in the New notebooks. When it is available for upgrade, it will be in the gear shop.
