I added the paintjob, a carrying case, 3 year warranty, dead pixel, accidental dmg, a mouse, and a few other things to match the config I had from FNW... Not lying. That's what the price came to... I'll re-config and give you the exact specs, but that's what it came to.

Ok, new config'd price = $3438.

For some reason last night they had a $500 paint job as an option and a carrying case also, and now they don't. Odd.

Configured as follows - Painted
2.0 Dothan
1024M Ram
Moderate 3d tuning
60G Hitachi 7200RPM
CD-R/RW / DVD Drive
Mouse
2 Batterys
XP Professional
Extra AC Adapter
3 Year warranty

I just configured a Fragbook TL with the specs you mentioned, and assuming you went with a Logitech MX510 painted to match your system you are looking at a sticker of 4,356.00 with 3 year warranty. That warranty does NOT include accidental damage protection.

Yes, that's correct.

So is a 1 thousand dollar premium worth it? That is what this thread has been about from the very beginning. If you feel it is, then you will have my blessing and as I said, I will anxiously await your review and pictures.

BTW Boost, have you seen my fragbook gallery. Tux the Linux penguin is painted on one of the laptops. And an evil clown, and the ati 9700 mobility logo.

IMO and personal experience with falcon, I think it is, and the best part about this deal is that this will be my 21st B-Day present, so I'm really not eating the premium

Here's my falcon support story - Me and a few friends went to a LAN in Chicago, Chicagolanparty (duh), and I sort of, "borrowed" my moms PC (A FNW Talon 2.1 I believe it was), for a buddy to use. So we went, we gamed, blah blah blah... Some jackass was walking by, and just KICKED the PC. Like stumbled / fell, and on the way down, kicked it... square in the side panel. Needless to say, the PC was dead. This = BIG problem... PC isn't mine, and is now DEAD. Called Falcon and they OVERNIGHTED me a NEW PC. Told me to swap the hdds, and stick the label on the box, and drop it off at UPS or call to have it picked up. I explained the situation to you just as I did them, and even though the PC was KICKED and damaged not due to anything that had to do with them, they still sent me a brand new PC. Who the hell else would do this?? Nobody.

I should be ordering within the next few days, and you'll all get to see my notebook in all its glory in a month or so. Next on the agenda, what effing color am I going to get??

I wouldn't really compare desktops with laptops. They don't make for clean comparisons.

I agree, not comparing their products, but their service.

I personally will not care if you spend the extra on a which ever company you buy from. If your happy then I think that's the only thing that counts.

Please note that in my original post I actually advised users to buy from PCTorque and did not mention my company's name.
