Freezing Up!

I have noticed on some games (i.e. C&C:Generals(Zero Hour) and Doom3) I play for a bit then the computer completely freezes up and the only option available at the point is to shut down the computer and reboot, crtl-alt-del and alt-tab don't work.

Does anyone know why this is happening or better yet how to fix it? I am using XPS basically right out of the box, as it was shipped. Should I change out the Video drivers, any ideas?

I have noticed others having the same issue on these boards but don't see a solution anywhere...

Please, can anyone help me out?

Install Omega drivers instead of catalyst. Driverheaven.net

be sure to uninstall the old driver before installing the new ones.
