at what setting spaxspore? Could you take some SS please? Ebgames.com didn't ship mine yet ;(
post #22 of 52
i have 10 ss in my review. links in signature.
I am running with medium and 1024x768 as well with everything on except VSync and AA...

Also twitches somtimes... I guess due to only 512 DDR or the AGP Aperture size but I can't change since my bios doesn't have that option.

I have a 5690 w/ 9800 pro 128DDR
See sig for spec.

The only prooblem I am getting is, Doom 3 would close itself and go to windows when I am playin~

Any help on this? its obviously not a good thing.

Thanks!

1024*768, 2XAA, High Quality, All Effects On.

Works Wonders.

to display FPS

ctrl + shift + ~ <-- brings console
com_showfps "1" <-- to display fps, enter in console
~ <-- to exit console

ctrl shift doesn't bring up the console for me. it just causes him to punch.

Curious what settings can the 8790/5690 handle doom3 with smooth play back and decent fps?

I have an 8790 3.4 northwood with 2 gigs ram. I am running at 1024x768 (have not figured out how to force it to 1440x900 yet, anyone know how?) at the highest settings possible, but no AA and no vsync, and it runs great! Despite the warning that it needs 500 megs of Vram, it runs SMOOTH. Looks like the 256mb Vram on the 8790 definitely help.

Regards,
Sean

Thanks Shank, I was curious how the various systems handled it..and it seems the 256 in the 8790 is making a big difference for that graphics hog of a game..oh..almost forgot..probably 2 gigs of ram is helping also...anymore 8790 users with 1 gig of ram?

Ahhh...ok good I was trying to see how the 8790 handle it compared to the 5690 and 4750..
The 4750 can handle high settings with average fps of 20.
