Ok, well I downloaded a less-than-legal copy of AVG 7.0 for my Desktop machine and I would just like to say that it is simply the best experience I have had with an Anti-Virus program by FAR. I dont like McAfee and never did, and I think Norton is bloatware (even though it is some good looking bloatware) and I hate the nag screens to update virus definitions, register, purchase it, etc. With AVG 7, everything can be set to automatic (only get definitions when online, scan critical sections on bootup, do full scans once a week, etc.)
Well, AVG 7.0 died on me about a month ago when they found out so many people were freeloading and blocked the illegal key. Work-arounds were created but quickly exhausted every time you updated. So I decided to go legit and get AVG 6 (free). It looks alot crappier, but I still like it nevertheless (the "free" thing got to me).
