Hi guys
As I reinstalled a friends Toshiba laptop over the weekend I found out a funny thing.
She has a normal Centrino WLAN Intel 2100 and I have a Dell 1300. When I activated the card suddenly a WLAN turnt up that my lapi also saw from time to time couple of weeks ago. The funny thing is that the Intel card in her Toshiba showed the WLAN all the time and my DELL didn't. Both laptops where in the same place and one saw it and mine didn't.
Now my question, why is that.
I have the newest drivers and stuff and the WLAN works perfectly with my AP at home and with my parents but why she can see a WLAN that I cannot.
One more funny thing is that after some time the card says there is a WLAN available but when I press the icon in the systry and the program comes up, I use the DELL WLAN utility btw to handle the card, the list is empty.
Would be great if someone can comment here
