I've heard moving to the new Catalyst 4.8beta is the way to go. I know that it already boosted my 3dmark score by about 70+ points.

Sure thing,

I've got the latest Omegas installed. I'm overclocked via Powerstrip to 384//212. Be sure you're cleaning out your laptop with compressed air a few times a week. These things suck up dust like mad if you let it go. The heat that the dust build up causes will slow your GPU down to a crawl if it overheats.

Let me know if any of that helped.

Hey Craig, you and I have same hardware, and I'm getting my game tomorrow from best buy with the mouse they got, my mouse is stinky.ok for everquest but not fps or U2K4, anyways my point is what exactly are your settings if you can take a screenshot or two, you can pm me if you need images hosted, not sure if they are hosted on this site.

tell me all the nitty gritty, i just can't wait till tomorrow

Sup Ever,

The extra RAM I have may help out but our fps should be very close. My settings are in the post before your last one.

Let me try to take a screenie later...as I poo in my pants, screaming like a little girl!

Al,

Do this: Right Click on your desktop, Properties, Settings, Advanced, Displays, Panel, and then click the box that says "Scale Image to Panel Size"

You should buy a can of compressed air from a computer store and blast the intakes to clear out the yucky!

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I saw the thread and thought I might be able to help you out.
There is a setting in the config file;
seta image_cacheMegs "20"
Setting this value higher, makes the game run much smoother according to all accounts.
I have an 8890v and have seen some nice improvement, by setting it to
seta image_cacheMegs "128"

Try this out, lemme know how it works out for you

I'm using the drivers from AW and it runs fine. I uninstalled the Omegas cause it really slow downed my Call of Duty and made it choppy.

I am still using Omega 2.5.30, rather old, but have performed well overall with all applications I have been using.
Have had no problems with gameplay in doom3, other then my console , which I cannot seem to get open, no matter what keys or combos of keys I hit, any ideas?
