when ever i start a new explorer, it says ie finding site:hotmail, and this takes slightly longer than normal. Normal it would just says website found immediately, and progress with opening the page

the strange thing is it only happens when i open a new explorer window, after opening the first page, it is fine.

also another thing, the network light at the back, i noticed that it is green when it is unplugged and when i plug it in, it change to dark orange, it periodically changes to lighter orange then dark orange again. what does this colours mean?

thanks in advance

btw i'm using an 8600

For the LED's. The blinking light means it's sending/recieveing data. The other one tells the connection. Wether there is one, and if it's 100mbs (dunno exactly which color is which...)

i managed to fix the internet explorer issue by uninstalling one of the network protocol called microsoft tcp/ip version 6. it was making my internet explorer very unresponsive.

for led lights of the network, there's 2, one which blinks indicating activity

but the other led light changes colour when i apply pressure above(where u have the power led, battery charge led)
It change from yellowish/light orange to dark orange. although there is no problem with connection, should i be worried about this?
maybe there is green light from the power led(green) fusing with the network light(dark orange) making it lightorange/yellow?

thanks
