I don't think I'm brave enough to try it again...I'm not done yet and have been at it for a long time!

I guess if we got a good coop mod I'd be game for another go around

I wanna try it again, but my reason for not being through is actually a silly one. My dad really enjoys watching me as i play, so I'm playing it in 30 min to hour long spans between when it gets dark and when he begins to nod off. So I'm only just getting into the Alpha Labs. When I finish it with him around, I'll play with god mode then take another run through it.

This is on a 9600 mobility :-p

Jake-
How do you get 2712???
I get
with Omega 2512
ATI 2560

This is using the Demo, I don't have the prog, so it uses it's own games to test it..

I'm on DX 9c

OMFG, you guys are never going to believe this after some major Doom 3 tweaking, overclocking (engine clock:385 mhz, memory clock: 207 mhz), and registry tweaking(thank you, Jammaster!), I can run Doom 3 at 1024x768 at Ultra High Quality! Words nor pictures can explain how beautiful this game looks, but I'll try to post some pics; btw does anyone know how to save screenshots as jpegs within Doom 3? Here is a link to my Doom 3 settings in case anyone wants to try them.

new driver for our ATI cards is released!!! v.8.05 :-) It's better for doom3 and it's official from Alienware and no omega drivers....

Yeah I modded the 4.9 Catalyst Beta drivers and they work great!

im not sure i want to get the newest drivers yet
I am on a X800 and it runs the game extremly well as is.

EDIT

How do i DO this, im a newb when it comes to coding things?

There is a setting in the config file;
seta image_cacheMegs "20"
Setting this value higher, makes the game run much smoother according to all accounts.
I have an 8890v and have seen some nice improvement, by setting it to
seta image_cacheMegs "128"

Try setting it to one half of your system ram...you should see even more improvement.
Actually Flapjacks, this is strongly discouraged as the cacheMegs tweak tells Doom 3 how much of you RAM it can use for compressed images. Setting this to half of your RAM just leaves less room for the actual game, so I would set it to 96 or 128, depending on how much RAM you have.

I have a Gig, and i set it to 256

If you got a Saitek P3000 you can use it in Doom3!! I have a profile for it on my website..... http://www.criticalcomputercare.com There are some other files there for Doom3..

Hi,
I have a Sager 5680 with a ATI Mobility 9600 128mb. I am just wondering where I can get the latest drivers for my laptop? ATI.com recommends seeking your manufacturer/suppliers drivers, where as SagerNotebooks.com has the old drivers. Could anyone please point me in the right direction? So far Doom3 + tweaks is running well - but still occasionally crashes to desktop.

Thanks for your help guys - I have to say - no company in the world has this support for their products such as PCTorque & affilations

*thinks about being Australian franchies of PCTorque* heheh

Bongo...try the Sager forums...we're all Alienware dorks here.

Has anyone here tried decompressing the *.pk4 files and get the game working? I'm getting problems after I decompress into the individual folders and removing the pk4 files.
Well there is ATI Catalyst drivers, Catalyst DEmos, OMegas, ATI's .. which ones do I get .. and which people with Sager's have found the best drivers in regard to overall performance & Doom3?
I recently switched over to Alienware's latest drivers, and they work like a charm! I got about a 2-3 FPS boost in Far Cry and Doom 3 over the 4.9 Catalyst Beta's
