The Ogre Chronicles: Part IV - Page 2

under that panel..from the lights up till the power button its all the cpu heatsink...not the gpu..
but the cpu heatsink faces towards the bottem of the lappy ....at the top would probably be part of the mobo..it may help cooling but dont know how much..
isn't the gpu on the left side? i feel some hot hair blowing up around this area while gaming. increased cpu ventilation might be good though.
i think the gpu may be on the left side i havne't opened it up that much..

More than I have though. I can't wait till adam does his review. That would solve some problems.

weeeeeeeeeeeeee i love this part

hd stays at about 42-43*C i think the as3 was really worth it
A 5-7*C idle temperature difference is nothing to shake a stick at
!

I assume this means you've applied AS3 to your CPU. I have some (AS3 or 2, I forget which). That's from when I built my PC in the year 2000 though, so I don't really wanna test that on my laptop to see if it's still any good

What's the differences between AS3 and 5 in terms of heat dissipation? Is there any?

I hope so. Its a 7.50 on newegg.com I think. I'm thinking about ordering some and greasing up my cpu and gpu. If all else fails you may have to get your own amd moses action figure.

And congrats on the wise decision to go with an MX500 might I add! Try removing the weight, it never bothered me, I just felt like cracking it open and trying. It's noticeably lighter now, and quicker!

Be careful not to lose the spring or the little metal clicker arm that are set up around the mousewheel though. It's pretty easy to put back together, but if you lose them your toast! (not really, you just lose the notch effect when turning the wheel or it won't be as hard to click down).
