bigger HD or faster CPU?

Well, i think i will go against all odds of terrible IBUYPOWER support and grab the Battalion-SL and as you know they have a sale if you go over $1500 you get 5% off, i picked all my neccessary features and i am only at $1429. I can get either a bigger HD (60bg instead of 40) for $1452 or I can get a faster CPU (3200+ instead of 3000+) for $1462?

My thoghts: storage for games is good, always was, always will be but what if i get the storage and my cpu needs a bit more juice?

little help.

I'd definately go for the bigger HD, you will probably never see any difference between the 3200 and the 3000 CPUs, there will be so many other parts of any computer that will be a hanging point before the CPU is, also, the bigger HD will allow faster data access because the data will be on smaller pits, and thus closer together so more data can be accessed by going less of an RPM around. I don't think you'll ever see the difference in CPU speed, but if you run low on HD space, that will be a change you will definately see.

More to the point, get a FASTER HDD, not just bigger.

it depends... do u use ur HD a lot? i know i dont and if i do download or anything i usually transfer the files to the desktop anyways. I would go for the cpu upgrade if u dont need much space.

And if u dont feel like u need the extra 200mhz then just save ur money towards a future upgrade or accessory
