hi,

I have a A30 with the mobitly radeon 9000 IGP graphics card,

and when i plug it into a TV (LG FLatron), and change displays using the Fn + F5 , it doesn't do anything and hte image stages on the LCD display, does anybody know whats going wrong?

I used a friends desktop which had a radion 9700 Pro and to get it to work there was a force dection button, and that made it work, but i dont have it in my display settings.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but I think the FN+F5 cycles between the VGA connection and LCD screen.

Have you tried clicking onthe tv button (rectangle with an arrow pointing out) above the PrintScreen key?

You may want to also check out the Display Settings, namely the Display tab in ATI Radeon 9000... Properties. You might need to adjust the resolution in the Display tab to 640x480 if it doesn't show up properly.

thanks for your help,

when I use the Fn + F5 it comes up what is avalible, if there is a vga connection present it'll let me use that, in this case a TV appears, when i pressed the TV button, the picture of a TV comes up , but nothing appears on the TV,
I tried ajusting the res and that didn't help either

any other ideas

The toshiba online manual shows you what steps to take to connect your machine to a tv.

It's under Chapter 7: Optional devices - Television.

Hope this helps,

The manual can be found either in the Start / Programs menu under Documentation or in "C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\Manual.CHM"
