SA-WEEEEET!!! I wonder how/why that happened? Though I don't wanna jinx it with too many questions.
if u select the 12-cell in the spare battery option u will see its priced at $130, seems it was an oversight as an upgrade option.

but its kind of a surprising design, to say the least
post #45 of 126
i must say good work pctorque... they updated the configurator to accommodate what people have questions/suggestions about (ie. battery, ram)

kinda crappy for people who have ordered already... but making it easier for us who are still making the decision

About the blue case/lid finish... is this something that can be ordered after the lappy is assembled? Looking at ways to keep initial costs down, then upgrade over the next few months (my wife's idea, go figure )
I appologize for the delay, but the bluetooth option has now been added.

Hey Luke, this question was posted in the other topic, but I'm pretty eager for a response: Is an empty battery bay module available to swap in place when using AC power?

Does the Blue LCD back have to be painted or is it something that just snaps on?? Is it going to be like a regular paint job and delay shipping substantially?
Looks to me like a paint job... can't be sure tho, since powernotebooks is offering the exact same thing, could be a sager thing
post #51 of 126
Automobile Blue Metallic Finish sounds like paint.

It's not a paint job, it's a back cover. there's no way they could do a paint job for 98 bucks. granted the back cover is painted, but not the lappy exterior itself

question about the 12-cell battery: in the new picture of it, it looks all huge. is it? how much more does it weigh? why does it stick out the bottom like that? and how much better battery life does it give over the 6 cell?
the 12 cell battery is huge. makes the laptop look all bulky. should i try to swtich my order to a 6 cell? does anyone know if i can do that by email.

what are some good things to do with bluetooth? it's basically a wireless connection right? is it worth it/can i upgrade to bluetooh via email?

6 cell vs 12 cell

12/6=2

2x longer with the 12 cell.

from the size of it... it better be 2x battery life of 6 cell...
but whatever it is... i'm sure it's quite a bit of battery life

no official word from pctorque on it... i'm sure any of the new owners would be running the bat test as soon as they get it

bulky smulky. its still pretty thin. my computer is 1.7" and isn't too thick. You guys really need to relax about the battery. A 12 cell battery will be larger but I doubt it will be more than a few ounces heavier at max a pound which isn't that bad.
Luke... i'm trusting u to give us some good performance testing of this baby...
I understand the blue cover is very good looking, as is Laura... but u have to snap out of it and get to work!!!

hehe... keep up the good work

Cool I just submitted my order. Right now I am using my 4780 but I need a lappy with a good battery life, smaller and maybe not as *warm*.
