Okay, I ahve officially classified my house as Wi-fi incompatible. So I decided to be ghetto and just get a long a$$ ethernet wire and drag that around the house with my laptop connected to it. I don't care about the wire being dragged around my house I just want to know something. The longer the wire, the slower the DSL connection will be? I called Verizon and they said this is true about the phone line that is connected to the modem. I was just wondering if this applies to the ethernet cable as well. NOTE: When I am online gaming, I will use my standard ethernet cable that came with the DSL package. When I use this long ethernet cable I plan to just do basic online tasks such as chatting and surfing the web, not online gaming. Let me know thanks.
