I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm a little tight on cash, and I need a new pc. Its gonna be going to school with me in a few weeks (cant beleive college is starting so soon). Anyways, due to the smallness of the dorm, I'm stuck between between getting a decent sff (small form factor) pc or a laptop. Now it seems like an easy choice but I'm tight on cash and If I got a laptop It'd be a super low end one, where as If I went sff, I could salvage some parts from my current pc and make a pretty awesome sff for the same price as the laptop. Now the big downside to the sff pc is the lack of mobility, but I do have a pretty nice pocket pc (hp 4155), and I can do basic task on that (taking simple notes, doing spreadsheets and powerpoint), and I could buy a keyboard for it and take notes and stuff that way, but it would be a whole lot less capable than a full blown laptop for those task. I have ~$800 to spend, what would you do? Go with the laptop and sacrifice power? or go with the SFF pc and sacrifice mobility. Thanks in advance for any help.
