Can Monsoon speakers work with a 888x

I am going off to college next year and i want to get the best portable system for games and after reading all of the reviews i have decided on sager. But I am going to buy additional speakers for the 888x and was looking at Monsoon because of the sound clarity and great looking speakers. Has anyone with a sager bought these speakers, and if you have what kind and what do you think of them??? Or should i just get buy some other speakers?

I'd stick with S/PDIF personally, as there is only one wire from the laptop to a 4.1 setup (or 5.1)...

I use these bad boys except I paid $42 for them (a week before they dropped to $31).

Shipping is about $20, but for $51 it's really hard to pass up. They sound fine; you're not going to blow anyone away (well, maybe). But they are quite good, especially for the price.

I dont know about those speakers

I really want a speaker system that is very clear becasue it will be my only sound system in my dorm, that is why i am looking at the monsoon speakers. Since you would rather get something else what other speakers that sound really good would you suggest. And whats the deal with the Sony Phillips Digital Interface (S/PDI), what does this mean in terms of speaker set up??

Get the Klipsch Promedia 5.1 for around $350.00 nothing can beat that right now

The logitech z680's
are a close second...

1/8''(3.5mm) strereo jack converter to SP/DIF??

Does anyone know whether or not it is possible for a 1/8" stereo input jack can be

converted to SPDIF????? I am really hung up on the PFT that flat panal speakers

have and really want the monsoon's but if you cant convert the signal then i'll

just have to look for a new speaker system.
