I do agree that the athlon 64 does run hot. But would the 62 watt mobile run as hot? I would think it would be cooler. As for p4 running cooler than amd 64's the only effective way that I can see of testing this is if there is an 8790 version of the 4750 becomes available.

My heart still stays with my 8890.

However, the 8790 would be next up for nearly the same reasons as my 8890. DVI, larger screen (though wide), no camera, reasonable form factor (though not perfect), nice video card. AMD is not a factor in my decisions here, neither is battery life.

from what i hear, most people agree that p4's main problem is that they run so hot, that why the battery life is so short compared to 64s.
