compaq drivers

im looking at getting the r3000t, and was wondering if anyone here knows how compaq is when it comes to regular updates of video card drivers. are they like dell that abandon subsequent updates or do they try to catch up with the latest catalyst releases?

Just use the Catalysts from ATI or Omega. There's really no reason to use OEM drivers.

so using the catalyst driver with the DH mod should be fine? Would I risk losing some power-saving features?
