aw is offering the $99 off shipping again and the sentia's shipping date is now the aug 23rd! too bad i got trapped into paying that extra hundred for shipping...plus my estimated shipping date is the 25th...hope it gets here sooner.

anyone else in the same situation?

Muns,

You're misunderstanding what that means. If you ORDER before the 23rd you'll get free shipping. Call Alienware and I bet you they'll give you the $99 credit.

They're cool like that

lol craig. i tried to squeeze that free mousepad (before the free shipping offer) out of aw the other day...didn't quite work. so should i even bother trying again? im still on phase 5.

oh yeah, i forgot to add that i was one day late for the last free shipping offer.

The way it works is this: Any and all incentives and price changes that are offered BEFORE your machine SHIPS are fair game. If the price goes down, they'll refund you the difference, if free shipping comes out, you'll get it.

I got Free shipping on my system after I ordered it just by calling up and asking them. They refunded $99 to my American Express card without hesitation.

that's what i thought. many forum posters have said the exact same thing, but aw didn't honor the free mousepad i asked for (only two weeks later). so i will see if they can refund the 99 for shipping. thanks for the input

mines coming with a free mouse pad.....i didnt even ask for one...odd
post #7 of 22
Yeah, when I was waiting for mine, AW dropped the price by about $250, so I just added a bunch of extra's onto my order.

Muns, are they offering onsite service with the sentia now?
Thread Starter
uhhh....i'm new to aw, but i assume that the "onsite service" means what it says. i think they are referring to hardware stuff. if something needs to be replaced, they will come to my house to fix it. by "they" i mean "a qualified technician" (aw's words, not mine). hope that helps.
thats also not avail. in all areas too.

jazzy, what do you mean by that? if i live in the north east, will i be able to get this service? i mean, i did pay for it and all. i wish this was more clear on the site.
i just remember it saying not avail. in all areas. Have ya always noticed that most company's have that....yet they never say where its not avail. lol. You'll have to ask alienware where its not avail. at muns.
