Windows XP SP2 screws up Dell Bluetooth!

So I installed the new SP2 final on my Inspiron 9100, and it's working really well except for Bluetooth. At first it was just a stack error every time my system started up, so I uninstalled the Dell drivers and reinstalled them. Now it just says I need to press FN+F2 to enable Bluetooth everytime I right click and enable the icon. I can't get bluetooth on SP2 to work at all. SP2 installed other Bluetooth things which I think messes with the current Dell drivers.

Please help me.. I wanna know how to turn on the bluetooth! the bluetooth light on my Inspiron 9100 never come on again since the SP2 installed!

Do a clean install of everthing from the ground up and see if that works out or trying re-installing the blue tooth drivers.

I have done everything I can. I eventually called Dell up this morning and they are going to send me a replacement of the bluetooth module since they couldn't help to fix it.

FYI, I have heard that SP2 WILL cause issue with existing BT Software.

Check out this article: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?ContentId=3163.
(It deals with PDA BT connection to WinXP SP2, but it's still relevant)

Have you tried disabling the firewall that SP2 puts on the bluetooth connection?

May I ask what Blue Tooth is?

It's when you eat one of those raspberry airheads for too long. Apparently he was astounded with the improvements of SP2 and left the chunk of taffee on one molar for a while. He got a bluetooth.
