Angry With Alienware - Page 2

I've got to add one thing. This is what happens when you don't use multiple LCD manufacturers. There are at least 3 "Good" LCD manufacturers that make 15.4 with different specs. For Dells 15.4 SXGA, you could get a Samsung, Sharp or Hitachi. I hear the Hitachi stinks though.

#1 Incorrect Keyboard Layout
#2 Incorrect Proccessor I paid for
#3 All the software **** they install was spanish
#4 EVEN xp was spanish
#5 They didnt care about support and never helped
#6 They said they dont even ship to the Canary Islands (how did i get it then)

Saying that but what would you expect for cheap crap
The list can go longer but then id become tediousee.
I also still order from dell and they still get to me. And also its still incorrect lol.
EDIT :

#7 They had to send me a replacment laptop 3times once before beacuse they never turned on.
^^ I also know this happened to someone else.

Ok this is the Dad of the Dark_Crusader<<<The primary financeur of this fine laptop. Overall for a custom built laptop I think the delivery was very good. I was the one who talked my son in to sending the computer back for the LCD problem. I just didn't want it to grow worse and find ourselves out of the warranty period. I myself own a company that develops software and creates animations. I am an avid Mac enthusiast since 1984. My company is 75% PC driven. I am looking at Alienware for the next group of computers purchased for our animation team. I have to admit you get more computer for the money buying PC's. This latest service call was handled very professionally. I think my 14 year old, soon to be a gaming programmer, is a little impatient. I don't blame him. I don't think I have ever paid that much for a PC. It's loaded with the best hardware, extremely fast, and let's face it, very cool. He will freak when he see's this posting but I wanted Alienware to know they've done a good job. Thanks!

you got it back? And everything is working. GREAT!! we all knew this one should do well

Actually ATM Mac for graphics no longer has an edge over the PC beacuse they both have the same applications. I remb that they had the edge beacuse of coral and now they do pc. And anyway im dissapointed with Mac OSX was built to please the mudders. (linux lovers) i loved mac how they were another unquie choice but now they are not.

*fyi, Im not flaming or aguring macs arnt good its jsut that they were sucked in to pleasing a small group of people. Where uniquieness is better

Hey Devion - MacOS 9 was pretty unstable by the time it was retired; OS X was a major step forward. It's a UNIX flavor because Steve Jobs brought the NeXT folks with him when he came back - NeXTstep is really the predecessor of OS X, and is a BSD/Mach system (and had been since the 1980s). OS X has a lineage that is way older than any variant of Linux.

FWIW, my main machine is a Power Mac G4 Dual 1GHz, and will still be used for all my photography work; the Area 51m will be my gaming/portable machine.

I don't have it back quite yet. I get it tomorrow cause they gave me overnight shipping which restored my confidence in alienware.
