Does anyone have the Battalion 101 S-Turbo?

I know I've asked this question before but I got little to no responses. I'm debating on Battalion 101 S-Turbo (from ibuypower) or the Sager 4750 (from PC Torque) (which is considerably more expensive) I know that the 4750 has a much bigger screen but that isn't that important to me. I will be using this notebook for gaming and basic Office programs and maybe a little programming. Let me know your opinion one way or the other and why. Thank everyone.

Is ibuypower.com and cyberpower.com the same company ? Thier webpages seem very similar.
No they are different. Just similar names and webages. I'm thinking about a Battalion 101 S-Turbo myself and the only bad thing I have seen about it is that it gets hot(That looks like the Uniwill...). Depending on who you talk to though its not a big deal.

I got the battalion S turbo with every upgrade, and while i haven't recieved it yet, i've already ordered a nice notebook cooler for gaming. The specs for the money can't be beat, and if your creative the negatives can be dealt with easily enough.

that is the uniwill 259KOA, the Mayhem G3, Cyberpower XPLORER64-8000/9000 and the Battalion S-turbo (as well as it in its pure form from mwave) are all based on this barebone. It is very very good for the money, i've been shopping forever and this is the best bang-for-(very little) buck system. You can't go wrong....REALLY!

PS: I did some playing with different configs of this computer from cyber and ibuy and i recommend that you do the same when you buy, go to both sites and config your system to see which store sells cheaper. both of the stores have about equal service and support and even though the prices are close....saving anywhere from $20-$100 for just switching the company you order from is usefull. also use the 5% off coupon. on ibuypower type in "ibuypower" and on cyberpower the code is "instant"

Yes, they are both the same company. Someone in their sales department told me when i called on a Saturday. Both companies suck. Go on www.resellerratings.com and read up on them before you order.

6.xx and 7.xx are good ratings (on a scale of 10) of course, its no discountlaptops (10 out of 10) but it is good serivce. Also, consider that most people who complain are the unlucky few, there are many more HAPPY buyers. There are poeple on this forums who got EXCELENT service from the companies. They also have some of the best prices. One thing on Cyberpower though, there is a 5 week long backorder on ALL models.

Yeah I was looking at resellerratings and I thought for a second that for every unsatisfied person there could be many more satisfied ones. I hear horror stories about every other company so I don't think they can be that bad. I still can't believe they are the same company though.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. But, I still haven't found someone with the Batalion AMD 64 laptop. I really wanted someone to post a review of this model to see how it compares to the 4750. Anyone out there?

I ordered an Battalion-E turbo from them and it's the best notebook I have ever own. I got mine delivered 10 days from the purchased date. I called couple of times to check on my order and had no problems dealing with them.

I purchased the batallion s-turbo. It took them longer than I expected to get it, but that was no big deal really. Upon booting the computer I was instantly pissed, 2 huge on pixels dead center in the screen. After closer inspection i find 2 more on pixels and 2 out pixels. So I loaded up the OS anyway to see how I liked it. The machine is damn fast, and surprisingly quiet. I dont do much gaming but I do alot of audio production. I manged to get live 4 going with 30 tracks lots of vst and vst-i's. All on the built in sound. So performance wise I am very very satisfied, but then back to the pixels. I decided that I couldnt take them so I called and told them that I wanted it fixed. They tried to give me their dead pixel policy, but I told them I know they have a 30 day satisfaction gaurentee so fix it or give me my money back. They agreed to fix it so I sent the laptop back. They recived the laptop last friday its now tuesday. I emalied them on monday asking for an update. They still havent gotten back to me. So I guess all I can do is hope for the best. Ill post here when I get it back.

Ok its been 1 week since Ibuypower recieved my laptop. When I first talked to them they said it would be done in a week. Now they tell me that they sent it back to the manufacturer to have the LCD replaced and it "should" be done next week sometime. Im not too happy about this. I guess if i get a perfect LCD I wont complain too much, but this really sucks its now been over a month since i ordered. Also I emailed them on monday asking nicely for an update. They never replyed. This is the second time I emailed them with no response. I dont know I cant really say that Im satisfied with how I have been treated thus far. I will post here with updates when I get them.

Oh and the screen is great besides the bad pixels. I like the resolution.

Luke...i sent them 3 emails over the course of the past 2 weeks and only got 1 responce. You are much better of doing it by phone. I'd have to agree that it sucks that it would be nearly a month before you get your lappy with a good screen (hopefuly) but atleast you know that Uniwill is fixing it and not some minimum wage mexican guy out in their California warehouse. Today is day #4 of my wait and I am willing to give it up to 20 days with shipping (about 5 days or so). So far I feel it is still too soon to contact them so i just keep checking my status online which seems to have just frozen, my last update was on tuesday morning when they recieved the order (order placed: monday 7pm). I haven't recieved a call from them yet, nor do i know that they charged the credit card or not. Kind of makes me with i ordered RUSH service because the wait is long and annoying.

I ordered an XPLORER X64-9000 PRO NOTEBOOK from Cyberberpower, IBuypower sister company (I think). They sent the wrong laptop, what they sent was the one based on the Mitac 8355. I got an RMA from them and sent it right back and was told that they would be building the proper laptop. I finally got fed up with waiting and called up and cancelled.

Good luck,
Steve

What is the differance between the 9000 and the 8000...i looked at the specs and i see nothing but a few $100 in price. The mitac is a nice system, but no wxga...only reason why i didn't get it. Well...that must have been a sucky experience....like i said....day #4 since i ordered for me...still far to early to call them up.

I think they are basically the same system but the 9000 has a few more options like a DVD burner and other stuff ...

Anyway I'll post a review of mine when it arrives on the 18th.
