Howdy folks,
I have an 8790, purchased about 2 months ago. Full setup (2GigRAM; 3.4Ghz etc). I upgraded to Sager's latest drivers (previously grabbed the Omega Drivers but had to uninstall as it was crapping out my DVD/MPEG playback ability... go figure).
Anyhoo... I installed DX9b, everything is "confirmed" and installed Doom 3 and Joint Operations. Both run fine (for Doom, I took the recommended setup), but after about 5 minutes of play, I notice a "stuttering/lagging" of graphics and sound... it's as if the Notebook decided to defrag the HD as I'm playing.
I immediately checked to see if anything was running in the background-sure enough, there wasn't anything. I checked the system processes, nothing.
Any ideas of what I may try? I love gaming on this thing but this stuttering/lag is KILLING me. I even hit the FN + F10 to engage the loud
ass fan thinking it could be a heat issue.. no luck. I later played CounterStrike and Far Cry and had no problems whatsoever.
Help!?!?!?
