Cannot access email from laptop? Please Help!!!

Alright, this has been a problem ever since I got my laptop, I have never been able to access my email (web-based on Hotmail or my College email which is also web-based). I also have problems posting in forums sometimes, but not always?

I am running a Dell Inspiron 8600, XP Professinal, and running Norton Internet Secuirty, etc.

Im am on a wireless connection at my house, and have no problem accessing email or posting on forums from desktop's on the same connection. I have run spybot, but that was the only suggestion I have got from anyone on a possible solution to my problem.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!!!!!!! THANK- YOU!!!

sounds like a possible security problem with your browser, couldn't tell you how to fix it but it might give you a running start

Thanks- I have all my Internet Explorer security settings on default, and I have tried accessing the email by turning off my Norton Internet Security, neither helps (turning off Norton Internet Security does allow to post/reply in forums tho when I have issues).

It takes my password, tries to load, and then just leaves the screen white and eventually times out...

It sounds like a possible IE corruption problem. Try the firefox browser to test your connection. If you still have the same problem then something could be hosed with your OS. http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
