Mr9800 Order Status Thread - Page 3

I just got the delay email. They are saying Sept 1, but I think that they just pulled that out of their a$$. I have a feeling that this is going to go on forever.

interesting. My email says the 31st, and when i check the order status page it's expecting delivery between the 20th and 24th. hmm

Those of you with emails stating the delay, are you showing an estimated ship date? What status are you in?

I ordered not too long ago, no cancel or anything, and mine is showing as in production...

Seems like it's going alright... estimated ship date of tomorrow...

mine shows in production, the greyed out estimated ship date is still yesterday the 17th. But there is a section at the top that states estimated delivery as being the 20th thru 24th, so crossing my fingers on that one.

Though really, as long as it arrives before HL2 is out, I'll be happy

my 9100 has been in the boxing stage since yesterday afternoon and it still says it's suppose to ship on monday the 23rd...daymn it take a while to box and ship

Mine was set to ship today. CANCELLED! DELL JUST LOST ALL THEIR BROWNIE POINTS! that is such BS!

Canceled

Mine just got canceled today as well.

I got an email saying mine was delayed til 9/1... which I guess is a slightly above cancelled, but it still sucks.

Mine was also cancelled. I've been on the phone for a while trying to figure out what's the deal. One rep said 'Configuration error'... I'm talking with the peripherals group and they seem to have the part in their system at least... this is frustrating... everyone just wants to transfer me to another group.

you guys are getting me nervous. but so far mine is still showing expected delivery of the 20th thru 24th, but i doubt that is accurate at all

Mine showed the same for delivery. Estimated ship date of the 19th... but it cancelled on delivery date. I can only assume it got to the box and they just freaked out and cancelled it to piss me off...

Right now I've got a rep working on figuring out WTF is going on and he's going to call/email me.

i think they are having problems with the system that keeps track of the orders... my 9100 has been in the boxing stage for three days, but i email them yesterday and they have told me mine shipped today....

Hope they help you guys.. that's wack since you are spending soo much on those XPS systems...

Emailed the Michael Lambert referred to earlier in this thread asking what's going on and this is his response:

"The upgrade was available for a short time last week but it currently is
not. I did place several orders for the card last week but as of today,
none of them have shipped. I do have a "tentative" activation date to re
order of the 11th of September but so far, that is it. You are welcome
to contact me then if you like."

I'm wondering if some of us made a list of delivery qualified and others didn't make it?

Let me clarify how mine is reading, cause it's causing me to be confused and probably confuse others

What's interesting with this, is, it was showing only "pre-production" until the Tuesday the 17th. On Tuesday is when it started showing "in-production", but like it shows above, the 12th. Wierd that their system updates so far behind.

Then I noticed the line at the top that states the delivery estimate of today thru this coming Tuesday. And it been like this the whole time, while other have been mentioning the cancelled order emails.

All this is making me wonder if possibly they've set aside say 10 for upgrades and the rest for new systems etc., and as long as you're one of those first 10 in line, they keep your order alive. Very strange if you ask me. I'd simply take all orders on a first come first server basis, and fill as availability was there.

I don't think there are both problems in availablity of the MR9800 and the Intel processors.. i was just looking at the customize page of the 9100 and there are delays for any processor above the 2.8 and for the 9800... its shows about a week delay... I wonder why they aren't giving priority to the XPS systems since they cost more... Hopefully they get their act together...

Mine got delayed to Sept 9th.

I'm beginning to think I'll have to order a new 9100 and sell mine on ebay in order to get a 9800! errr
