Trying to decide between Acer Notebooks...

Thread Starter
I have been racking my brain this past week trying to decided between these notebooks (aka I've read tons of reviews, stats, opinions, benchmarks, and the like) and I still can't decide. Hoping for a little help from all of you...

Option #1:
Acer Aspire 2012WLMi
1.5 Centrino, 512MB Ram (2x256), 15.4 WXGA (1280 x 800), 60G HD 4200RPM, wireless b/g, DVD+/-RW, Radeon 9700 64MB
(This is the one everyone’s been salivating all over)
$1299

Option #2:
Acer Travelmate 8002LCi
1.5 Centrino, 512MB Ram(2x256), 15 SXGA+ (1280 x 800), 60G HD 4200RPM, wireless b/g, Bluetooth, Gigabit E (I have a GigE network I can plug into ), DVD/CD-RW, Radeon 9700 64MB
$1599

Option #3:
Dell Inspiron 8600
Pentium M 1.6A, 512MB (1x512), 15.4 WSXGA+, 60GB 5400 RPM, wirless b/g, DVD/CD-RW, Radeon 9600 PT 128MB
$1822

Although this laptop will be used primarily for school and graphics, I’d like to be able to keep up with games too (I’m addicted to Doom 3 right now, who know what will happen when HL2 comes out). I don’t mind dropping the extra $ but I just want to know if anyone thinks its worth it. The Dell model is also configured with a 2 year warranty (something that will be added to either Acer for an additional $175, which I will do if I go that route).

Anyone have any ideas / opinions / suggestions?

Thanks in advance
