I haven't owned a pentium in hell knows how long. AMDs top CPUs completely destroy the P4s, but we're talking about the 3400 here. The high temps on the 3400 are just not going to do it for me. Trust me, my home CPU is the FX-53 and I have to drop down to the P4 when I'm on the road. And let me tell you, I can hardly notice a difference in everything BUT Doom3. I tried to put myself outside of the AMD bias when choosing what to buy, and don't regret it for one second once I got my machine.
