mitac users: FN + F5, how do you get it to work?

Alright, from what Im reading from the manual, FN + F5 should alter between
LCD [to] CRT [to] LCD + CRT when a plug and play CRT is attached.

Well I have the monitor (samsung 955df) attached and its not doing anything.
I know I can go into the display settings, but thats a huge pain.

Perhaps there is software that will do it??
