On the my point: as one who ordered in November, I am saddled with the external Creative Extigy card-and it would seem to be horrid for gaming. On Far Cry I get a frame rate drop of at least 33% when I turn on EAX 2 (not to mention a weird sound bug when I get in a boat), with similar drops in other games. In order to squeeze all the power I can out of my Radeon 9600 in Far Cry, I've ended up turning off all hardware mixing.
Now, I've got a few questions-
Is there any way to actually use the Extigy, with EAX, in a FPS?
And will running an optical line from the Spdif port directly to the Logitech Z-680 allow for surround when enabled?
