was trying to place a new order just now, but i can't select international shipping, stuck at the second stage, pls help....

Hi genosypheus. I'm sorry if you are having problems. The website uses session variables to remember the shipping and sales tax choices, in order to avoid using form variables which can get messed up when users click the browser "back" and "forward" buttons. However, this may cause problems on a slow link or under other circumstances, if the subrequest that is dispatched when the menu selection is changed does not finish transacting before the user clicks the "proceed" button to go the next page.

I stepped through the process and the site did let me choose International Shipping. Just to be clear, I made screenshots. If you are getting an error message, please let me know what it is and at what stage. Please click images to enlarge.

You start out here at the shopping cart:



Then you go to the Shipping page, and here I've captured the Shipping Options menu in expanded mode. The default menu choice is 2nd in the list. The "International Shipping" option is ABOVE the default option.



Then you should get to this confirmation page.




Please let me know more about the problem you are having.

One feature of our spiffy new phone system (with the "dial 1 for sales, 2 for support" routing) is that you can change the behavior for off-hours. Calls on the weekend and after 5:30 during the week now go to the "after hours" message which asks you to leave voice mail. We did this so that Adam would start getting some sleep.

We do check email though and monitor the forums continuously. Also, I'd recommend sending email to admin@pctorque.net rather than adam directly, because then all of us can see it, and it is likely to get a faster reply.

thanks for the fast response, but it doesn't help,

i have an overseas address, ie, Singapore, in ur ss above, u have a local us address, which is why u dun have the problem, i guess.

after i select "need quote(inter shipping or APO/FPO)", i click on proceed, and i get this:

"Sorry, but a valid shipping address is required at this stage, and the following problems have been detected:
The shipping destination is outside the United States, and you have not chosen International Shipping; or you have specified an APO/FPO mailbox, and your order must be sent USPS instead of UPS. Please either select the "International Shipping (Need Quote)" option or change the shipping address.
Please correct these problems before proceeding."

i checked my address, it's correct. i selected cash method btw.

A few days ago, i submitted an order, same procedure, no problem at all.

Anyway, that order id is 10943, i decided to change the 60g 5400 hd to a 40g 5400 hd, which is why i need to submit a new order.

Is there any way around this problem? or is there any news when the 60g 5400 is coming? cos i wish to have it this week. any help will be appreciated, thanks

I changed my country and sure enough, it looks like a bug, probably related to the addition of apo/fpo addresses recently. I can't fix it right now because I have a prior engagement and I am running out the door, but I will fix it tonight and I will post again when it is fixed.

I have mailed PCTorque but got no response.

Also I presume I select CASH for a wire transfer?

Should be fixed now. I'm really sorry about the inconvenience.

Moezy, did you email admin, or adam directly? Adam's email is down this weekend so he won't be able to answer till tomorrow at least. I don't see anything in the admin folder that all of the staff has access to, otw Troy or I would take care of it.

Yes, for a wire transfer, you select Cash.

thanks ratha, i've submitted the new order, pls ignore order id:10943, the new order will overwrite it, hope to get the confirmation soon, making a trip to the bank tmr morning,
